Launch sunday

We are beginning our worship services on Sunday, September 13, 5-6PM!

We’ll have greeters to welcome you out front by the red doors and answer any question you may have.

Where and when do you gather? 5-6PM at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church building (3600 Harper Road).

What are your worship services like? We follow a simple but structured liturgy of prayers, singing praises, scripture readings, a confession of sin & assurance of pardon, a sermon (about 25-30 minutes), and a weekly celebration of Communion. Each service ends with a “benediction,” a blessing from God in the Scriptures as he sends us out for the week ahead. Services generally last about an hour.

What should I wear? Wear what you feel comfortable with. You might see some dressed in business casual, others in shorts and a t-shirt. Our focus is on celebrating life in Jesus together, not outward appearances.

Nursery: For children 0 - 4 years, a nursery is staffed during the entire service by background-checked volunteers for parents who wish. Of course, if you’d rather keep your littles in the service we welcome that too — wiggles, noises and all!

Children in worship: We’re inspired by Jesus’ posture toward children, who welcomed them with open arms and called others to have hearts of faith like they do. In our view, ‘big church’ is for everybody!

Kids’ Class during sermon: We want to make an effort in teaching the faith to children at their level. During the sermon children 5 - 5th grade are invited to go with the children’s teacher to the downstairs classroom for Kid’s Bible Class, and will be escorted back upstairs before we celebrate Communion. We use The Biggest Story Bible curriculum — a fantastic resource that brings the Christ centered sweep of the Scriptures to their level. Of course, if you want your kids to remain with you during the sermon, this is welcomed.
